Frequently Asked Questions Q: I can see where the Discount Health Card is ideal for people without insurance, but is this savings program cost effective for people who already have insurance?
A: Absolutely. The majority of people who have insurance for their prescription and/or dental and/or vision, have their coverage under their major medical. In other words, the members pay 100% of the retail price for their prescriptions, or glasses or dental procedures and then must turn in their receipts for processing and reimbursement. With the Discount Health Card, they will be paying a reduced fee, anywhere from 10% to 50% or more, and turning in that receipt for the same processing and reimbursement.
Q: What if my customer has their insurance under an HMO type policy?
A: Under a "typical" HMO policy, the customer may have specified co-payments for their prescription, dental, vision, chiropractic needs. The Discount Health Card may still help these customers, however possibly not to the same degree as a customer with insurance under a major medical. This will need to be determined on a case-by-case basis.
For example, your customer may have a prescription card, but various drug classifications are excluded. Our program has no plan exclusions. Your customer''s dental coverage may not cover cosmetic procedures or orthodontia (braces). Our plan covers these procedures. Your customer''s vision coverage may only apply to certain frames or lenses. With our plan, virtually all products and most procedures are covered.

Q: Is there a way to know the exact amount of savings I will receive before presenting my membership card to the provider?
A: This varies as to the provider you are visiting. With the retail pharmacy, you will not know your discounted price until the pharmacist enters your card into the pharmacy system.
You will never pay more than the price set for the medication for that specific day, but on average you can expect to pay 10 to 50% less. You can call our mail service pharmacy to determine your cost prior to ordering. With our dental providers, your discount will average between 10% and 40%. The exact amount is dependent upon the specific procedure being completed, as well as the zip code of the dentist. Your discount on the vision plan and the chiropractic plan will be announced to you at the time services are rendered.
Q: How much does this savings card sell for?
A: There are variables for single or family membership, as well as the option to pre-pay at a discount for quarterly, semi-annual or annual memberships. The monthly single membership is $12.95 and the family membership is only $19.95.
Q: Who is considered a "family" member?
A: Anyone living in the household is considered a family member. For example, this could include an in-law, cousin or grandparent. If your customer has a child away in college, they too are considered a family member. A separate card can be issued for this child ($2.50) who is away from home.
